PTS® began ten years ago with a vision, a goal of being a reliable resource for companies and drivers looking for success. While we expected to learn as we grew, the lessons that were ahead weren’t necessarily what we expected. Still, without them, we wouldn’t be where we are today.

Here is a look at ten things the PTS® team has learned in our ten years of operation.

  1. Having a Great Team Matters

When PTS® was incorporated in July 2011, it was mainly Diane, Eddie, and a vision. Today, we are on our way to 21 internal team members. That’s a big difference from where PTS® started!

At PTS®, we understand that success isn’t possible if you don’t have a great team working toward mutual goals and business growth. Each and every PTS® staff member is valuable, contributing their unique expertise to ensure PTS® rises to every challenge and offers both drivers and clients an exceptional experience.

  1. The Power of Empathy

Understanding what difficulties drivers and customers face every day is essential for customer service. Empathy creates a sincere desire to help, and that pretty much defines customer service. This has helped PTS® build strong connections with both drivers and customers that go beyond the normal business relations.

  1. The Importance of Details

While the PTS® team has long been detail-oriented, we never realized how significant the little things were until we started operating in this business. The more details about a customer or driver you obtain, the greater the chances that you will create the best match. Not only does that boost placement speed, but it increases long-term satisfaction for everyone. In the end, that’s what it’s all about.

  1. Sharing The Success Is Essential

At PTS®, we understand that our success isn’t one person’s doing. As our company grew, we made sure that the success benefited everyone. Over time, we’ve been able to add more benefits and perks. Our goal is to always give back to the team what God continues to bless us with!

  1. How Rewarding the Work Can Be

The feeling we get when we hear the sigh of relief or appreciation for providing a client with a driver is special. We greatly value the chance to free our customers from the pressure and stress they feel.

The same goes for drivers who are in dire need of work. When we find them a job that is perfect for them, we’re providing financial stability and ending uncertainty.

Cumulatively, that makes the work far more rewarding than many would expect, and it’s a powerful motivator that keeps us going to this day.

  1. Strategic Partnerships Support Growth (and Reduce Stress!)

When PTS® first opened, we did everything ourselves. In fairly short order, we realized how challenging handling every aspect of the operation was and, while we persevered, we knew there had to be a better way.

Today, through strategic partnerships, we are able to accomplish more than we ever thought possible. David Siu from Suprais is now our Project Manager for the APP, managing a wide variety of vendors that all play a critical role in our operation. David’s business is plugged into ours in such a way that it has functionally become another department, one that we know we can rely on whenever the need arises.

  1. Our Shareholders Made So Much Possible

PTS® started out with one investor but quickly added two more before our doors opened for business. We appreciate them not only for their initial investments but also for being able to see the vision.

Over the first couple of years, PTS® had its fair share of struggles. We could not have come with far without the shareholders who believed in our mission, and we appreciate all they have done every single day.

  1. Work-Life Balance is Crucial

At PTS®, we quickly learned that maintaining a work-life balance is a crucial part of the equation. If your home is in disarray because of work, your work productivity will suffer too. By not allowing work to intervene on the time needed for family, you increase your chances of success.

  1. Recognition Is a Must

Goals that are set without rewards are just demands for more effort and productivity with no actual incentive for the person. Rewards do not have to be monetary. They can simply be verbal expressions of appreciation, treating someone to lunch, or gifting a favorite candy.

This practice has strengthened every aspect of our company. Plus, it’s created a culture where everyone genuinely begins to show appreciation for each other, allowing us to maintain a positive workplace.

  1. The Importance of Faith

We realize at PTS® that the success of our Business is all by the grace of God. Our goal then is to glorify Him in all that we do, seeking to help as many people as we can know Him and the love that He has for them. Refer to our website for the mission statement. He is the one thing that has not changed from 2011 when we first opened. He has been faithful, and because He has, all other changes have been possible!

At PTS®, we are forever grateful that we’ve had the opportunity to do so much during the last ten years. Additionally, we look forward to serving both or clients and drivers well into the future, ensuring they can reach their goals and achieve success.
